Interestingly, this is one of the few pages I have extensive history on, but not enough about present-day life at the station. Look for that soon. Fox 7 debuted its current set in early 2004. It was an original creation by Studio FX, who was also in charge of building the current KVUE News set.

After KNVA's failed attempt at a newscast in the late 1990s, there were no other competitors in the Austin news market. Then Time Warner Cable stepped in and created News 8 Austin, the market's first 24 hour news channel.
